Mary and Max are in Poland again

„MARY AND MAX”, Adam Elliot's full-length animated film which won the 2nd prize in the Audience Poll during the third edition of the Film and Art Festival TWO RIVERSIDES, will be screened at Warsaw Jewish Film Festival and at Etiuda&Anima Festival in Kraków.

Based on real events, this original feature film tells a story of unusual pen friends, an 8-year-old Australian girl called Mary and a middle-aged New York citizen, Max.

The film has been awarded many prizes, e.g. Crystal Bear in Berlin, 2009; main prize at the International Animation Film Festival in Annecy, 2009; Grand Prize at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, 2009 and many others.

Kieślowski once said: Everything has already been written down. Now we just have to find artists who will breathe life and emotions into the characters for money. Being a film director I don’t feel like an artist. That’s someone you are from time to time.
