WORLD'S GONE CRAZY is the slogan of The TWO RIVERSIDES Film And Art Festival in 2009. Grażyna Torbicka - Programme Manager – presented highlights of this year's edition. Among festival guests are Krystyna Janda and Jan AP Kaczmarek.

During the inauguration concert of the 3rd edition - in the Kazimierz Dolny Castle - you'll have the opportunity to hear bossa nova. Its force, roots and creators will be portrayed in the series of feature films ("The Black Orchid" by Marcel Camus, "Dona Flora And Her Two Husbands" by Bruno Barretta) and documentaries.

This year’s repertoire includes films from festivals in San Sebastian, Rotterdam, Berlin, Cannes and from ‘The Young And The Film’ Festival in Koszalin. Also there will be many fresh European productions chosen by our co-workers in Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, England, Ireland, Turkey, Spain and France. Most of these films represent artistic and independent cinema.

Film admirers will have a chance to view a retrospective of some great movies that includes Paweł Kłuszancew's films - who is the pioneer of science fiction film, and whom Stanley Kubrick and George Lucas called their "godfather".

Just like last year, the festival's organizers will provide the audience with the opportunity to meet the artists during “Talk with Them” series. The spectators will be introduced to the output of the artists, it will be the admission of passions, inspirations and secrets of their creativeness. Among those who confessed their ‘deeds’ were: Bob Rafelson, Wiesław Saniewski, Wojciech Marczewski, Sławomir Idziak and Sławomir Grunberg.

This year artistic confessions will be given by: Piotr Szulkin, a Polish film director and screenwriter and Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, a music composer and an Oscar winner..

What would a director do without an appropriate actor to reflect his visions? The art of acting is an important part of every film which led us to create "And God created actor" section. Last year Two Riversides Festival had the pleasure of having over an outstanding Polish actor Janusz Gajos. This year our invitation was accepted by Krystyna Janda. She will be the guest of "And God Created Actress" section.

The audience will have a chance to get acquainted with her theatrical and film creations. They will also have an opportunity to meet Krystyna Janda and her favourite directors and actors.
