Machisu, the only son of the wealthy art collector, has its childish passion: painting. Commendation received from the famous painter, his father’s friend, makes boy start to dream about becoming a great painter. He starts to paint every day and everywhere, even during lessons at school, what frightens his teacher. Than tragedy occurs: Machisu becomes an orphan. His privileged life ends. The only thing there is left, is his matchless love for art.

Takeshi Kitano (1947)

Japanese film director, actor, writer and painter. He was born in Tokio and was raised in a poor family. He began his career as a TV comedian. As a film director he debuted in 1989. Fame came along with his film „Hana-Bi”, which won Golden Lion in Venice.
