Machisu, the only son of the wealthy art collector, has its childish passion: painting. He starts to paint every day and everywhere, even during lessons at school, what frightens his teacher. Than tragedy occurs: Machisu becomes an orphan. His privileged life ends. The only thing there is left, is his matchless love for art.

Takeshi Kitano (1947)

Japanese film director, actor, writer and painter. He was born in Tokio and was raised in a poor family. He began his career as a TV comedian. As a film director he debuted in 1989. Fame came along with his film „Hana-Bi”, which won Golden Lion in Venice.

After 27 years Skurski decided to turn his camera once again to Janda, today recognized as one of the most eminent Polish actresses. Author of the movie shows the artist as she supervises building of her private Polonia Theatre in the centre of Warsaw. We see her as she buys building materials, determines the colour of floor covering and tiles, or arranges lights along with her husband Edward Kłosiński, cinematographer. In the last scene Krystyna Janda – actress returns, film ends with a fragment of her monodrama according to Vedrana Rudan text “Ear Throat Knife”.
