Inventorium of Traces, Poland (PL) 2009, colour, 23 min. dir Stephen Quay, Timothy Quay Artistic animated documentary as a tribute to Jan Potocki. Authors in an unconventional way create film story about the extraordinary figure of Polish culture connected with location and recourses of Lancut Castle. Narration is filled with sound and music of Krzysztof Penderecki. Stephen Quay, Timothy QuayTwin brothers, creators of film animations, tv commercials, film and theatre scenography. Directors of two full length films (“Institute Benjamenta, or This Dream People Call Human Life” and “The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes”) and many short animations, from which Brunon Schulz’s “Street of Crocodile” is the most famous. |
