History of a tough, male friendship between Russian officer Vladimir Arseniev, rubbing through taiga and his guide, lonely and aged native Dersu Uzala. For Dersu taiga holds no secrets so he manages to save lives of all participants of Arseniev expedition. Many years later they meet again and Arseniev takes his saviour to the city, but Dersu can’t get use to a modern style of life and soon he comes back into the forest.

Akira Kurosawa (1910)

The most famous film director of Japanese film industry. Author of more than 30 pictures. He equally succeeded in the field of historic epic stories as in modern dramas. As director and scriptwriter he put particular weight on insightful observation of human psyche.
