Late last year, the City Council of Kazimierz Dolny passed a resolution on selling the parcel of the former quarry. The Citizens’ Committee of Quarry Landscape Protection in Kazimierz Dolny, composed of artists, journalists, scientists, architects, art historians and businessmen, called the town authorities to abandon the sale of the quarry until clear definition of the intended use of this area in land utilisation plan, taking into account its specific and unique character.
