His stupid and cruel regime serves only one purpose – so he can get rich. Introduced reforms are absurd, citizens are getting poorer while the state treasury proves empty. Ubu, surrounded by flatterers, increases terror. Incited by ambassadors of foreign powers he goes to war with Russian tsar. Campaign ends with defeat. People chase Ubu and his wife away. Tsar arrives to the capital city. Together with ambassadors they choose new queen, which, they think, will be a puppet in their hands. |
